What does ringworm look like on a dog?
Ringworm in pets is characterized by a circular or ring-shaped pattern on the skin, like a french bulldog ringworm with less or shorter hair will clearly see reddened and swollen skin. Ringworm in dogs with lots of hair may not appear in such an obvious way, so you should look out for the following symptoms: An inflamed, red rash.
Circular patches of hair loss: These patches may be red, scaly, and itchy. They may also be surrounded by a ring of inflamed skin.
Crusty or scaly skin: The skin around the affected area may be dry, scaly, or crusty.
Broken hairs: The hairs around the affected area may be broken or shorter than normal.
Itching: Ringworm can cause intense itching and discomfort for the dog.
Inflamed skin: The skin around the affected area may be red, inflamed, and irritated.
